How convincing was THAT? Do you think ghosts are real, or one big hoax? Have you ever seen a ghost--or something else that looked suspiciously paranormal? Tell us all about it here.
EEP! Im the first one to comment on this! Well, i dont know about ghosts, but i am a firm believer in someone or something that controls LUCK! All i know is that i havent had a streak of bad luck in YEARS...

hmmm... i do believe that there are ghosts out there, but i don't believe the televised shows, like Ghosthunters and such. I was totally convinced that my old house was haunted though, and i had good reason really, seeing as it was built on top of the old Ft. Collins, which was wiped out by a flood.

Ghosts- we talking ectoplasm or memories? Anyone out there read Daphne De Maurier's Rebecca or seen the movie? Ghosts, as in pale forms, is something in which I don't beleive. However, I beleive memories have a way of haunting us...

I agree. A memory can haunt you. It's sort of self-inflicted. But ghosts as in ectoplasim? Nah.

I think you're totally right! Sometimes, I have memories that never go away, like if I caused trouble or did something (rarely though!!!! Most of the time I'm an angel haha) and the gulit haunts me!

Well, this is really a good, controversial question. I guess I believe in ghosts to some degree, but come on, that thing creaking upstairs in the attic?

I Think thats quite true, but gosts that haunt you... not true. I think memories haunt you and i guess that could be kind of like a gost, but that gets me thinking- where do we go when we die? I mean we can't just die...I think it is mostly about people being scared of death( who would not be ?) and made up some silly story about them coming back to haunt you. do I have a point?

I think it's one of those thing you're never quite sure about. Ghosts might be real, or they might not be.

I would only ever believe in ghosts if I turned into one when I died. I think that would be the only reliable proof.

I don't beleive in ghost. Ghosts are just a story someone made up after someone they loved died, to make themselves feel better about it.

Interesting theory, (I want to be a scientist) on how ghosts exist, except proof isn't all that you need to make the hypothesis a theory. For one, you do have the observations (pictures, etc.) but you still need experiments. For example, you can mock the spirits and see if they tear you apart. (you don't have to, if you're AFRAID!) Another experiment is that you can go to a grave, dump water (a symbol of life) and pray for the spirit barried deap in the ground to appear before you. The last thing you'll need to prove the existence of ghosts is the for question W's: who, what, when, where, and most importantly, WHY! If you can get all those things on ghosts, then you will be able to rub the existence of ghosts into the nonbelievers FACES >:) BWUHAHAHAAHAHAHAHA! But if I believe in ghosts, I'm still making experiments, but so far no, since they probably would have tould us about the past. C ya!

I think people thought up of ghosts to give people a really important message for the time ghosts were thought up! In fact theres two messages: The decisions in life you make can huant you forever (remind you of something?) and message # two, never look back at bad memories of your own or someone elses. And heres yet another lesson: If you make the covering of the pie a flavor, it tastes quite delish (a message for kokopelli) because it has blueberry inside AND out. Anyway, I don't think ghosts exists, I KNOW, since we made it up as an excuse for the decisions we made, look back at, and why we didn't think of putting blueberries in the dough and inside for twice the flavor! XD! but it true try it even with different flavor (strawberries in dough, grapes inside) to see what it tastes like.

No, I have not seen a ghost YET, but I know people who have. MANY people. I have seen a sprite before, it looked like it had elongated human facial features; pointy nose, ears and face, but it had kinda sea-greenish skin (or was it something else?) and transparent, iradecent dragonfly-y wings.

Once I saw a shape in the forest which looked like someone wearing all white and moving a baseball bat up and down. it dissapeared right after that.

All the faucets (including the shower head and the bathtub's tap) turned on at once one time at my house. Then I saw something on my desk move. Turnes out there was a problem with pressure in the pipes, and the overactive fan in my room decided to turn itself on because it was angry I wasn't using it in the middle of January. Then again it could have been something supernatural........

I definitely think memories come back to haunt you, especially if it's something bad you've done (why did I ever draw that cat on the wall?!). But I don't think ghosts or fairies or brownies or stuff like that exist. Some desperate mother back in the Middle Ages probably made that up for her kids to go to sleep or eat their veggies or something. Like, in Latinoamérica we have "el coco"--basically, an undescribable thing that will eat or take away children if they don't do as their mother says. No one knows how that story started, but everyone knows it. Something like that probably happened with ghosts. The story spread and now, as with el coco, no one knows how it started but everyone uses it, and some even go so far so as to believe it.
I have an argument to the someone invented ghosts because they missed someone who died theory: ghosts are supposed to be scary, aren't they? If someone I love died, I wouldn't pretend they came back to scare people, which is what ghosts are supposed to do!
