Computers (July/August 2009)

In the July/August issue, you saw computers of all shapes and sizes—from ENIAC and the other early computers in Mark Richards' photographs to the "Sixth Sense" wearable computer. Where are computers going next? What would you like to see invented?

wOW. in less than 100 years computers have progressed from big bulky tubes witrh less than 1 mb of memory to touch screens the size of a playing card that can easily do 10  times what ENIAC did.  What I'd like to see in front of me is something that won't freeze up every time you move the mouse unlike this Stone Age jar of molasses I'm typing up right now.

Computers have sure progressed a lot, but they are still very breakable. About a month ago, my sister who was two then and is now three DESTROYED the keyboard on my laptop COMPLETELY.  And now for some spam.    spamspamspamspamspamspamspamspamspamspam.Spam is yummie.

I remember back in the days when the avg C drive had not even 2 gigs! Floppies were going out, though, when I was around. I try to remember that, it makes me feel like less of a 13-year-old dinosaur!!

Computers have come a long way.............. Well, I mean, when I was born, there was nothing close to an iPod. Now they are making iPod Touches and Shuffles. Now there are DSIs. Wow!
