February 2010
Our February Muse starts from the ground up: your feet. An ancient skeleton is discovered, and she may be our long-lost ancestor--unless her feet suggest otherwise. PETMAN, the most human-like robot to date, can walk, run, and stumble just as well as a normal human (check out his fancy kicks). You'll meet a tribe of near-superhuman marathon runners who use speed as a way to escape from the rest of the world, and you'll learn how copying physical movements is an important part of growing up (so if your friend trips, you may want to trip, too).
Tired already? Reminisce about your favorite place while reading about Kathleen Gros's cozy Muserology. Then tell us all about your 435-mile run (or whatever epic, or not-so-epic, thing you've done lately) for a chance to be published in a future Muse.
Don't forget to check out the culinary creations of our Edible Architecture contest winners, and vie for a chance at lyrical fame and glory with our latest POETRY contest.
