Pretty Gross

It's the softest thing yet!

art by Rose D., age 12, Washington

My mom always yells at me for kicking my shoes at the wall. Today she finally had enough and made me scrub off the scuffmarks. Just wanted to give my backstory there.

So I was putting the bucket back in the laundry room. I noticed that in the wastebasket, there were three big clumps of dryer lint. That got me thinking--why don't we respin lint into yarn? (There's prolly some good reason for this, but I didn't bother to investigate further.) Just think; wouldn't it be cool to have a sweater made of reconstituted dryer lint?
