In school I went with my grade to see a sewage purification plant after finishing a science project. After a presentation we went to see the water where it's let back into the river to flow down toward the Mediterranean Sea (it is stopped to be used for farming on the way). The water there should never be touched, it had that much bacteria in it but the whole area was much greener than the rest of the Jerusalem forest with all types of plants that we don't have in other places for the lack of water. It wasn't only green but other colours because of the flowers. Before the plant was there the sewage went freely into the sea destroying vegetation but now makes a beautiful place for a hike. I think that when you think how disgusting the water really is, against the stuff growing and thriving it's just amazing what beautiful things you get from sewage!
