The painting on this month's cover is Vertumnus, by 16th-century Italian painter Guiseppe Arcimboldo. The quirky painter is best known for his fruit-and-vegetable portraits. We'd like you to channel your inner Arcimboldo: draw or paint (or, if you're very ambitious, photograph) a portrait made out of food. Whether it's a portrait of yourself, a friend, or Martha Washington, make sure it looks good enough to eat!

    1. Your contest entry must be your very own original work. Ideas and words should not be copied.
    2. Be sure to include your name, age, and full address on your entry.
    3. Only one entry per person, please.
    4. If you want your work returned, enclose a self-addressed, stamped envelope.

    6. Your entry must be received by August 31, 2010. We will publish winning entries in the January 2011 issue of Muse.
